Alexandria Rugg, DVM, CVA

Dr. Alexandria "Lexi" Rugg is our associate veterinarian. She graduated from veterinary school at UC Davis in 2007. She joined our team in April 2022. She owned a practice in Santa Barbara for 15 years before joining us here at Redwood Animal Hospital. Currently, Dr. Lexi sees cats, dogs, reptiles, amphibians, exotics, and pocket pets. She is also a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist and enjoys integrating western and holistic practices.

Dr. Lexi loves to do capoeira, snowboard, play basketball and spend time in nature. She also loves to work on old cars, especially her 1950 Chevy Truck. She is also an artist.  She loves spending time with her dog "Tse Tse", " Nova" her 100-pound African Sulcata, "Nightshade", her African Grey, and her adorable cat "Minnow".
